Junior Jedi 2: Lost In Coruscant (D2,LM,OPEN)
[Need more volunteers for babysitting today! Preferably different ones!]
The Jedi younglings today were just as wide-eyed as the ones from yesterday. On the other hand, they seemed a bit quieter.
On the third hand, that doesn't mean that they were any easier to handle. A young Rodian child carefully studied a length of silken cloth. And then did his best to put it in his mouth.
"Don't eat it!" The human girl next to him hissed. It didn't help.

Esla made an appearance today to see to the young ones. Seeing as how hot and balmy the day promised to be, she wore more of a black sheer shawl over her shoulders than her favoured layers. There were many reasons to volunteer tending to the children, although she probably saw it more as a test of patience. While meditation was perhaps keeping calm and finding your centre while doing nothing, children demanded the same while constantly doing something. It was quite the trial.
She restrained a sigh at the sight of the Rodian and made her way over to yank the material away from him while casting a stern gaze upon the children.

Eir was also on baby-sitting duties today, her glowing eyes also spotting the rodian boy. Shooting Elsa a smile, she clapped her hands, "gather up, younglings," the half-arkanian announced cheerfully, "who do we have today?"

Esla glanced at Eir momentarily, perhaps dismissing her as one of the children of the daycare. While Esla wasn't exactly tall by any standard, she as taller than Eri and it was a mistake she made, despite the choice of dress and the fashion of her hair. It was perhaps when she spoke to the children, she paid mind to her again. As the attention was put on Eir, she used that opportunity to make the needed tug to take the silk away from the Rodian.

With a sigh, the Rodian allowed the length of silk to be taken from him.
Jedi younglings had a measure of discipline. When asked to introduce themselves, they all lined up, speaking their names one at a time, as though they were in a musical.
"Esme." Said the human girl who'd been trying to admonish the Rodian.
"Tor." Said a human boy.
"Collete." Said a twi'lek girl.
"Geena." Said a devaronian girl.
A short pause, and then "Dacen." From the Rodian.

“Wonderful, I’m Eir, and this is Elsa,” the girl indicated to her fellow babysitter. “We’ll be getting ready to go very soon. While we wait, who would like to guess where we’re going?” She hoped the question would keep them distracted long enough for reinforcements to arrive.

"Is it for food? I'm hungry." Said the young Rodian who'd tried to eat the cloth.

Better keep an eye on that one, she noted. “There will be food where we’re going,” the group yesterday had been treated to doughnuts, and Eir knew that they’d have to front up something equally as good, or be branded as the worst babysitters in the Order.

The boy brightened. "I missed breakfast." He explained.
Esme straightened. "Are we going to a museum?" She ventured.

Triumphant in her authority, Esla neatly slipped the length of silk away from reach so that it wouldn't tempt another child who thought to something that silly again. She did momentarily frown as what she assumed was a mispronunciation of her name by Eir, it tended to happen. She crossed her arms underneath her shawl and listened to each of the answer. Where were they going, anyway?

"Excellent guess, Esme. Does someone want to guess what kind of museum it is?" It seemed it was only going to be Eir and the stiff blonde with the kids today, she hoped they wouldn't be too much of a handful.

Esme hesitated, and then shook her head. She looked at the others. There were a few thoughtful looks, a few frowns, but no one seemed quite willing to venture a guess.

Esla sighed internally as she observed the group of children as a while. The lack of answers was concerning among them and liable to create some discord soon enough. If they didn't do anything, they might lose them and have a real situation on their hands. Perhaps it was time to break out the treats, even if that might be a whole other can of sarlaccs.
She tapped Eir on the shoulder and make an eating gesture with one hand with a questioning expression on her face.

Eir shook her head slightly, and returned her attention to the kids. "Today, we're going to visit the Children's Science and Technology Museum," she announced it with all the pomp and excitement of a red carpet host at the latest Vera Hawke holomovie premiere. The C-SAT was filled with dozens of child-safe 'experiments' that kids could poke and prod and otherwise interact with, and it had been one of Eir's favourite destinations.

Dacen's expression brightened, for those capable of reading a Rodian's expression. "Really? That's so neat! I've always wanted to go there." He was practically bouncing in place. "Can we go now? I think they probably have food there."

Beaming at the Rodian's excitement, Eir nodded firmly, "all right, I want everyone to make sure they can all see each other at all times. Stay together, and we're off!" The girl was more than a little excited herself, she still loved the museum, and would probably only grow out of expressing that interest.

The Rodian's excitement seemed contagious, and the Jedi children were impressively orderly. Or, perhaps not to those who had spent much time in the Order. An orderly line was formed, and the group set out towards the museum.
Still, they had barely gotten underway when...
"I'm hungry." Said Dacen, having apparently remembered. That got a chorus of agreement from the others.

If Eir was going to lead the following of children to their pilgrimage to the museum with her enthusiasm, Esla was more than happy to corral them from the rear. Someone had to make sure that they didn't think of escaping the pact to their own antics or worse, run off into trouble or potential traffic. She constantly kept a proper headcount as they walked although they didn't get very far it seemed. Looking to Eir with a look of uncertainty, she wondered if she had another play here.

Still cheerful, “a Jedi must be patient,” she reminded them. “When we get to the museum, we’ll have lunch before we go inside.” Eir paused, pale eyes glittering, “and if everyone is really, really good while we’re at the museum, there’ll be ice cream after.”

Dacen subsided. "That's true." He said. His features set, determined.
The twi'lek's lips quirked. "What if we're only pretty good?"
