Points of Interest: Silent Sun Cantina, Industrial work areas.

Black Sun is a powerful crime syndicate that is currently on the rise, and have taken out the Exchange in this District. The origin of the syndicate’s name is unclear, but a common phrase among despairing Coruscant citizens is “better a black sun than none.” Alas, the Black Sun does not really bring order as much as terror as they rule their territory with an iron fist. Locals who live in the area must pay protection money to the syndicate, and it's suspected that many disappearances is the fault of Black Sun, but Coruscant Security Force have no proof other than suspicions and even they know better than to stick their necks out too much in this part of Coruscant. After all, the Black Sun rarely ventures out of their territory so they don't pose a threat to the majority of the citizens.

Although the gangsters have profitable spice- and weapons-trafficking operations, their members, almost to a man, have an extraordinary taste for violence. Civilians are extorted until they have nothing left to extort; afterwards, they’re used for target practice. Still, the Senate and the government doesn't consider this to be a major threat yet... criminal gangs come and go as the seasons, and these will probably go away too soon...

The area have industrial areas as well as living quarters for many poor working families. On occassion, Jedi also venture here to help the locals, and so far the Black Sun avoids making their presence known when they are present.

Black Sun headquarters is said to be at the Silent Sun Cantina. At least that is where they are usually observed in large groups, but chances are high they have other hidey-holes. The Cantina offers loud music and cheap drinks in entertainment, and fights are a daily occurrance. There are a few gambling-machines, but it's said that they've been tampered with to make the game skewed against the player. No live entertainment, but there are holo-dancers.
