After a quick bit to eat, Silas made it back to the work benches. His armor was finally starting too look like armor, and honestly he was pretty pleased with it. There was a pleasant smile on his lips as he began to hum a tune to himself as he worked, maybe he should of brought his headphones.
8/12 hours done

Speaking of music, Byron was laying on the hood of a speeder, it was a rusty steel color with what looked like blast marks on the side from fire damage but it was operational and hovering effortlessly with a low hum as the engine idled. His foot moved in motion with the music as the music system pounded out some juicy tunes.
“You were working as a slave hostess at a cantina, when I met you! I picked you out, I freed you up and turned you around, turned you into someone new! Now five years later on you’ve got the galaxy at your feet, success was easy for you, but don’t you forget it’s me who put you where you are now and I can put you back down too!” a strong female voice sang.
Then the refrain hit, “Don’t, don’t you want me? You know I can’t believe when I hear you won’t see me…”
Byron sang out along with the song, “Don’t you want me honey… don’t you want me ooooooh…..”

Silas couldn't help but smile at the older boys antics, even if the song sounded like something Master Din would listen to. Had anyone even listened to that this decade?
"Practicing for your debut, Cap?" Silas called at the older boy, a teasing smile on his lips.

"Don't tell anyone, but one day when I retire from this lavish Jedi lifestyle, I will be a Cantina lounge singer," he joked with a smile.
"How do you like the Red Baroness, I mean she isn't red yet but she will be."

"Your secret is safe with me, Cap!" Silas replied with a playful salute. "If you ever need anyone to design some snazzy suits for your time on the stage, just look me up, okay?"
Looking over the speeder he gave a nod of approval. "I was starting to wonder if you intended to put any clothes on her." He grinned. "Red will be good though, it will make her go faster."

"Beeeep-beep-booop-bwhooom!" Needs more red. Make it go faster.
The droid whirred back and forth alongside the speeder, working on the paint-job.

Byron looked at the boy and then the droid and said, "Yeah... I keep hearing that."
"Hopefully Lunda will like it, she found it and I helped bring it back here. Hoping to have it all fixed up by the time she gets back. had some setbacks but now we are on the home stretch."

"Boop-phweee?" Other colors than red, inquired the droid.

“Red, just make it red, I can detail the rest with chrome. Keep it simple, droid,” he said.

He nodded. "Just remember, Red makes her faster, but she's liable to break your heart some day too." He'd heard it from some of the old guys at the spaceport.
"Still glad she is coming together well. Oh, and how's Lunda? I haven't heard from her in ages!" Of course he hadn't known her as well as Byron either.

“Last I heard they were making the last jump to hyperspace into the system, the Mandalorians probably have a comm blackout so I am in the dark as well. But she was good, excited even. Probably landing on Bankor around now,” he said wistfully.
“Figured the least I can do is get her speeder working, before she gets back. A welcome back surprise, hopefully. She said she met lots of interesting people from all over, even heard there was a hutt mercenary… didn’t even know hutts did that kind of thing.”

"That sounds so cool." Silas said, a bit of awe leaking into his tone, being able to fight the enemies of the Republic! It was too bad he'd miss it.
"You're right though! That's a good thing to do!" The younger man grinned. "If I had known I would of offered to help you fix her!"

“I appreciate the offer, tell you what you can help me finish the paint job and take her for a test ride later, did Zanja get with you about heading to the Works? I figured that would be a nice way to break her in,” Byron replied with an appreciative tone.

"She mentioned it in passing." He hopped to have his armor done before that trip. "Sometime tomorrow, right?" Hopefully he would be able to find the time.
"Just let me find a good place to pause, this armor isnt going to make itself after all."

"Take your time, the Red Baroness is not going anywhere, yet," he said with a smile.
"Just know we may run into Black Sun, so be prepared for well... gangsters and the like."

"That's one of the reasons I was hoping to get this armor done." He rapped his fingers on the ceramic breastplate.
"I dont think we will run into trouble, but it's better to be safe."

“Whatever will happen is destined to happen, the Force will be on our side… and our armor and weapons,” he said with a light laugh.
“Also wait, you are making armor for yourself?”

"Yeah!" Silas replied, after nodding along with Byron's previous assessment. "It's coming along pretty well too, I managed to angle some of the plates a bit, which should make it easier to ward off incoming melee attacks!"
His eyes shined as he looked down at his project. "Plus it's going to look cool!"

Byron walked over to look at the project, “Cool huh, well now my expectations are sky high.”

"I'll be sure to show you when it's done." He offered with a grin as he found a place to pause in his work.
"Did you just want to get the first coat of paint on?"
