[D0 M] Unbelieving (Eir/Taime's Room)

[Eir]

At first, Eir wrapped her arms around Taime and hugged him tightly, with the same easy abandon they had shared that morning; but as the embrace continued, the storm of hormones and raging emotions became a hurricane. All at once she was awkwardly aware of the tender budding breasts that could barely be called that, and the closeness of Taime, and that he was a boy, with all the... parts.

Simultaneously, Eir blushed bright red and burst into silent tears.

[Taime Jorel]

Oh no. Oh no, what did I do?
"Eir? What's wrong? Did I hug too long? I'm sorry, please don't cry. I love the gift you got me, its perfect. You're the best."

His eyes darted around, trying to find something that might make her stop crying.

[Eir]

Eir wiped her eyes, blushing even brighter, “I’m not crying, my eyes are watering, you must have farted.” The riposte lacked the energy of earlier as she tried to play down her confused emotions.

[Taime Jorel]

The confusion just swirled faster. "That's not it and you know it. Now come on, did I do something? Or do you just need a little space?" He backs up a little bit on the bed, hoping that will help.

[Eir]

Sighing, "it's just a lot, okay?" She rolled her eyes with all the power of puberty-fuelled teen angst, "everything''s about to change, and I'm trying to go with it. I'm listening to the Force, but it's like rapids roaring in my ears, and I can't work out what it's supposed to be telling me."

[Taime Jorel]

He nodded along, glad it wasn't him. "Totally. I feel like I'm in a hyperspace jump with no idea where my exit point is. Its the strangest feeling. But we're here together, right? I won't let you down."

[Eir]

"Right, and now I don't have to worry about you freezing your ears off," she brightened somewhat.

[Taime Jorel]

He smiles. "That's true. I suspect this will come in handy. And...I'll look like a proper Jedi finally."

[Eir]

"Go on, put it on," she urged excitedly.

[Taime Jorel]

He smiles and gets up, with it in hand. "I'll just be a minute." He steps into the adjoining fresher and changes quickly, letting his excitement spill out in private where it can't be seen. He folds his old clothes up though to get himself back to calm as he looks at himself in the mirror. Pulling his hair back and tying it, he heads back out into the room.

[Eir]

Eir hadn't moved from the spot he'd left her. If there was anything that the girl could do well, it was hold completely still. As Taime returned, however, she bounced excitedly, jumping to her feet so she could admire him from several angles. "Yes," she laughed, "it's perfect."

[Taime Jorel]

He smiled back at her. "I don't know how you got it sized so well for me. It fits great."

[Eir]

"It wasn't hard." Eir had learnt to do her own mending and adjustments, and she knew pretty well how tall Taime was, and the length of his reach. From there it had been simple enough to take up the sleeves and hems a little. "We've known each other a long time."

[Taime Jorel]

He nods along, moving a little to enjoy the flow. He wasn't a clotheshorse by any means, but this was no ordinary robe. "This will be perfect! Now I feel like I'm actually ready for the trials." He beamed at her, much less reserved than his usual self in this moment.

[Eir]

Eir clapped and laughed happily, all traces of her tears gone. “Yeah, you got this.”

[Taime Jorel]

He smiles at her. "We got this. We're going to be Jedi Eir. I just know it."

[Eir]

"Jedi Eir," she repeated, drawing herself up, "not bad."

[Taime Jorel]

He nods along. "Yeah, its got a good ring to it."

[Eir]

Putting on a mocking formal tone, "I'm glad you concur, Knight T'ame."

[Taime Jorel]

He startles for a second, but then recovers, bowing. "Of course, Jedi Eir. How could I not?"
