Zabrak toughness notwithstanding, Zanja was only too glad for the bloom of warmth she felt as the temple's outer doors closed behind her. She stepped into the main chamber and stood looking--arguably gawping--upward at the huge crystal hanging overhead as she wiggled off her gloves and unwound her scarf.
"Huh."

"Huh?" Ares asked idly as he joined his compatriot. "The masters were pretty cruel bringing us here after Planet Lighbulb."

"Life can't always be beaches and sunshine." Zanja's gravelly chuckle was briefly muffled as she unwound the last loop of her scarf. "There's something about this place I almost like."

"That sounds more like your kind of thing," she shot back reflexively, though most of her focus was still on the hall and its massive ornamentation. Her tattooed face wore a thoughtful frown as she squinted up at the statues. "Nah, but the whole planet is... grand. Deep and old."

"Yeah. They sound pretty amazing." Zanja gestured upward at the huge crystal hanging from the ceiling. "I mean. Imagine the size of lightsaber it'd take to hold this thing." She chuckled again, unaware that long long afterward in a galaxy far, far away, an EU writer with bills to pay would
invent exactly that. "Not enough enemies, though? Seriously? This whole planet'd kill you if it could," she added--sounding rather as if she saw this as an interesting challenge instead of a problem.

"Oh yeah, the planet is tough, but I can't exactly fight it with a sword." He stopped at the thought. "Well, a shovel is kind of a sword, I guess..." That philosophical conundrum seemed to occupy the poor boy.

"Hah. Well, there's more to life than stuff you can fight with swords." Zanja strolled over to the base of one of the statues and looked up at it. Right up the nose of the ancient heroes, as it were.
