[Day 8 - LA] All Things Connected

Byron sat in a nook in the wilds wrapped in his thermal cloak, the windy passage whistling, whipping up snow drift. He closed his eyes and opened himself up to the Force... to the connections throughout the universe that bound all things. He tried to stuff his emotions downward but they were in turmoil... they burned bright inside him and he wanted more.

OOC: Would like to flip a Destiny to have a Force vision or Force connection or something... Byron is in a state of emotional turmoil and is seeking guidance from the Force or those he is connected with through the Force, if more clarity is needed or if this is not allowable that is fine, we can discuss in the PF.

Dwelling on the turmoil of his emotions seemed to find a thread. Following it...

Byron saw Drascovina, lying on simple bed. Perhaps a spaceship bed? Yes, there was the vague sense of hyperspace travel. She wore one of her uniform-style outfits, except without shoes or stockings, leaving her feet bare. She lay on her stomach, propped on one elbow, reading a datapad.

He could tell when she gained an awareness of him. Byron? Is that you? She smiled. When I said that you should think of me, I didn't expect this. It was rather like having a dream conversation with someone.

Byron blinked having to wonder if he was having a vision… and then said… or thought, Dracosvina? Is this a weird dream?

Drascovina smirked as she rolled onto her back, blonde hair spilling all around her shoulders. No dream, Jedi cop. I can feel you through the Force. Strong emotions can sometimes create a connection in the Force.

Her eyes widened a moment, then narrowed. N...not that I like you or anything! It's just a theory. She smiled.

Byrion cleared his throat and said or thought, I mean yeah, it’s not like I am into you like that either… you know just were on my mind. I guess.

So what have you been up to?

[Hatoful GM]

Oh really? Drascovina's smirk told him what she thought about that.

We're travelling back to Sith space now. I prepare for my final trials. She frowned. Where are you? Byron, this Force connection is making me cold. She pulled a blanked up over her legs.

[Byron Mik]

I am... or was, I guess I must still be, meditating on an ice world called Illum, and yes it is stupid cold here even with a thermal cloak, he responded with minor irritation.

Preparing for my final trials as well.

Oh, Byron. Drascovina smirked. He could hear her mental laugher; she didn't raise a hand to her mouth like she did when she laughed aloud, but the effect was nearly the same.

Her expression grew more serious. Well. If you don't mind hearing it from a Sith, may the Force be with you. You will let me know how it goes, won't you? Whether by comms or, ah, more exotic method. She tittered softly.

Of course, he said or thought faster than he would have liked. I figured you would tell me when your trials are complete and I am not sure if the Sith have a saying like that but I wish you great success.

He smiled broadly at her words or thoughts as he wrapped the thermal cloak closer around himself.

Drascovina smiled fiercely. Wish me victory. That is all that matters to a Sith.

Her lips curled into an exaggerated pout. Poor Byron. So cold. Is that why you were thinking of me? Something to warm you up? He could hear the teasing note even in her mind.

You realize you are also cold… but after awhile you do warm up nicely, he thought in reply.

And sure I wish you Victory in your trials ahead.

The sense of Drascovina began to flicker, the connection fading.

She smiled. Do call, sometime. I suspect it will be easier than this.

[Byron Mik]

But this is just so private, find Victory Princess, he retorted mentally as it seemed the connection faded.

You too, Jedi Cop. Drascovina's smile seemed to be the last thing that was visible as the connection faded away. Perhaps there was laughter, but perhaps it was just his imagination.

Either way, he was now alone with his thoughts. And a lot of snow.

Byron closed his eyes and lingered on the smile, and meditated on the meaning of the connection.

He could still feel it there, from time to time, although it was clearly dormant at the moment. Perhaps it would grow weaker with time. Or stronger.

As to what it meant, clearly that would require a great deal of thought.
