[Mir]

Mir's tail got even pluffier as he tightened his grip on his saber, his blue eyes intent on the blond girl.

Byron smiled and said calmly, “Your best option is to apologize the Ithorians, pay for your meal and leave the way you came. There is no need for this to get any more tense than it is… I did not catch your name. Mine is Byron, and you are already acquainted with our best duelist, Ares.”

“Save face now, while you still can.”

[Silas Myles Pearson]

Silas slid up beside Byron. "Um Byron, I think the problem is she can't afford to pay for her meal." He said softly.

"That's why she is acting all big, and wearing such an out of date school uniform." The young man glanced over towards the girl, before looking back to his friends. "She probably figures she can intimidate her way out of paying."

Her eyes narrowed, but having recognized some Jedi authority, introductions were in order. She gave Byron a slow nod. "My name is Lady Drascovina Malveaux. I would say that it is a pleasure, but I suspect that is a lie that even the Jedi would be capable of seeing through."

She glanced at Silas. "Can't pay?" Again, one hand came up to slightly cover her mouth, the frills on her uniform cuffs shaking slightly as she laughed. "Oh, little boy, I rather expect that I could buy this restaurant with my weekly allowance. And you along with it."

"You tell 'em, Drascovina!" One of her goons said.

"Silence, Boyle." She said through clenched teeth.

[Zanja]

"Good. Then you won't mind leaving a nice big tip," Zanja put in with gravelly sarcasm. It probably wasn't a very Jedi thing to think, but she found herself weighing the odds of lifting something nice from this Drascovina's pockets if it came to a scuffle.

[O'vala Aeser]

O'vala did her best to puff out her chest and look intimidating next to Ares. Even if she was a bit goofy, there was at least some aura to her being authoritative.

[Mir]

"Cough up the credits then, Miss Goldfleece." Mir quipped. "if you can afford it then surely there's no problem." His swayed his tail few times. "But if you can't, I am sure that Ares here can cover you."

NEXT: Second, another PC may then roll Charm (Presence) against Average Difficulty (◆◆) with 1 Upgraded Die to help calm down the situation, so that diplomacy can start. Then, the same PC must roll Negotiation (Presence) against Average Difficulty (◆◆) with 1 Setback, to learn more about what happened before you interfered, and what might make the Sith leave peacefully...

“Thank you for relying on words, Lady Drascovina Malveaux. I am sure whatever is occurring here is simply a clash of cultures and expectations. I am sure we can find an amicable solution to this,” he said honestly.

“I would like to think someone of your pedigree and breeding is above such petty affairs,” his voice lacking any sarcasm or malice unlike some of his compatriots. Anyone perceptive of such things may notice his Imperial inflection deepening as he speaks.

Drascovina shot Byron a sharp look. "You are an interesting one, aren't you. Byron, wasn't it?" An edged smile, if not quite so mean-spirited as her last few. "I shall be marking your name, believe me."

She tossed her head, sending her blonde hair swirling briefly about. "Well then. In the interest of cultural exchange, perhaps you-" She waved a hand, indicating the group as a whole, "-can explain what you possibly have to offer us? Peace? Proverbs? Tch. Jedi." This last was said scornfully.

[Eir]

Offer you?, the half-arkanian was incredulous, she wants to be paid off to stop acting like an entitled pile of bantha dung? At 14, Eir was still getting a handle on this whole 'maturity' thing, but didn't find harassing people fun. Some light-hearted teasing maybe, but she doubted that the ithorians had done anything to warrant the group of Sith teens buzzing around them like flies. This was proving to be an interesting lesson in Imperial psychology, and Eir wondered what it had cost the Republic to persuade the Empire to a ceasefire.

[Zizzy Roosh]

Bullies were bullies. The odd-sounding human name seemed to fit the Sith ringleader. Zizzy was actually really impressed with how Ares had handled things. She thought about marching up and giving a stern lecture about respect, but then got caught up in trying to remember which episode of Vera Hawke had the best speech.

In the meantime her tendrils began to sense out the room, looking for anything unusual.

[Esla Tor]

Esla brought her cloak closer to herself and kept her eyes downcast. This awful woman was a Lady, apparently. However, she wasn't exactly in her domain and doing terrible things to people. She was conflicted and a bit at a loss of what they should be doing about this, recalling her conversation with Farissa. It would be almost easier if they were to break out their weapons and start fighting but that wasn't going to be the path to pacifism. The outcome she wanted didn't have easy answers.

[Taime Jorel]

Taime could tell this was a situation about to boil over without much effort. So, this seemed like the time to charm whoever this....person was.

Strolling up towards her as if he owned the bar they were in, he brushed his hair to the side and said, "Oh I'm sorry. Perhaps we've misunderstood something? Its so easy for these things to happen, especially when we're new to the planet."

He gave a small bow. "I do hope you'll forgive my comrades and I. These little cultural misunderstandings do happen. Especially when we're all from different places. " He indicated the Jedi, pausing for a moment on the adorable Farghul, with his tail swishing away.

Some part of him hated how easy it was to put on this fake face and try to get someone on his side. A little bit of anger bubbled inside him at the thought of this being his destiny. Lying and playing with other's feelings. The rest of him found it pretty useful at the moment. But he saw Eir give him a slight nod from out of the corner of his eye. Knowing she wasn't going to hate him for this helped.

"Perhaps we could help? You know us Jedi, always wanting to stick our noses into things. But we might be useful that way. Clearing up all these pesky misunderstandings."

(Turning one lightside pip into additional success and one advantage. Using triumph to sway her followers into realizing this is a bad move for them and they're outnumbered if the Ithorians realize what's going on).

[Mir]

Mir by Taime as he spoke, smiling disarmingly. His tail whooshed back and forth, raising a small cloud of dust. Internally the farghul youngling sighed. He'd have to clean his tail later. He nodded as Taime spoke, tilting his head to the side and doing his best to look friendly. Maybe this would work?

Drascovina eyed the new arrival to the conversation up and down. "Hmmm." Another smile, this one only slightly edged. "That is rather what I expect from the Jedi, yes."

By her side, one of her goons tugged at her sleeve; well, for half a moment before she casually slapped his hand away. "Boss. C'mon. Let's go." He hissed. Drascovina's eyes flashed with annoyed understanding.

"Well. We were just leaving, anyway." Once more, her gaze swept the assembled Jedi students. "Still. You're not exactly what I expected. Perhaps the Jedi aren't all bad. There are some..." her lips pressed together, "...points of interest."

[Byron Mik]

Byron replied, “If we can build small bridges then we can traverse deep canyons. It has been a pleasure Lady Drascovina.”

“I am pleased we could part on even terms,hopefully our next meeting will be just as pleasant.” Byron moved forward and said, “If the Lady is interested, there is a matter we could pool our joint skills toward that could impress upon the locals the power of the Force.”

It was risky but any chance to build even a small bridge with a somewhat receptive party was one to be taken. He offered his contact info and added, “If interested, I can explain more in-depth at your convenience. What we have in common outweighs what divides us, may your evening be fruitful.”

[Taime Jorel]

Taime internally raised an eyebrow at whatever the heck Byron was doing, but a united front was more important. "I hope you and your associates have a pleasant evening. And be cautious when opening the front door. It seemed a bit weighted. I wouldn't want anyone to be hit by it when they weren't expecting it."

His smile was perfection itself, like a mirror reflecting only another back.

[Mir]

As the Sith left, Mir hissed softly, glaring in the direction the posse disappeared into. He also glanced at Byron. His idea sounded strange when Mir recalled with Murah had told him. She had seemed to think that one could not negotiate with the Sith.

Drascovina's eyebrows arched noticeably. "Is a display of power something that would interest you, Byron?" She smirked. "It would interest me as well."

She snapped her fingers; one of her minions brought her a small, stylish handbag. Fishing through it for a few moments, she pulled out a number of credits, which she deposited on the Ithorians' table. "Sith do pay their debts. All of them. Something to remember." Her white teeth flashed at the Jedi.

Again, she eyed Taime, smiling. "Thank you for the warning. Has anyone told you that you're rather handsome for a non-human? Pity. In any case, allow me to give you a warning as well." The smile vanished suddenly, the blue eyes going ice-cold. "Watch your back."

She spun on her heel. The same confident strut that brought her to the group brought her to the door of the restaurant. The rest of the Sith followed, except for the one which scrambled ahead to open the door for her worshipfulness.
