Byron nodded listening carefully and then responded, "So he took his normal walk and just never came back? That is a troubling story, especially since it seems like he may have been taken at random."

"That seems to be the case."
"He was old, so first thought was that maybe age caught up with him and... you know... maybe he had a heart attack or something. But the search party couldn't find him either. Not even his bag of snacks and water."

Byron nodded, "I thank you for your time, that was troubling but illuminating. May the Force be with you."
He looked around then departed, making note to check out that trail.

It wasn't hard to find the trail, as it seemed to be a frequented route to take near the base of the Erkeere Ridge. Vegetation had been cleared from the path, and while it had its share of roots to step over, it was easy to follow with the flag-markings and offered quite a lovely view of the Erkeere Ridge as well as the forest-landscape.
It was all in all a very pleasant place to walk.
----
Technically now in Erkeere Ridge, but we can continue here.
Roll Survival (Cunning) or Perception (Cunning) against Hard with one setback to look for clues.

Jedi Cop knew cities... but the great outdoor wild lands... well that was outside his element.

If there had been any place where the old Ithorian had been ambushed by humans, bugs, or animals, it was impossible for Jedi Cop to tell. Nature was... nature, man.
Still, it was a nice walk with pretty scenery, even if left the city-slicking Jedi Cop panting a bit for breath at the end (1 strain from Threat).

Byron looked around and shrugged making a mental note to bring one of the outdoorsy types for the next go around.
