The girl cackled and leaned in, but she was laughing too hard and almost out of breath, “breath weapon! You take four-dee-four damage.”

This bit gave me the chuckles, but there's some great teenage drama stuff and sorta sibling stuff in there, too!

"Not much, no. Water was bad too." He wasn't the first to find a better life in the temple. Impoverished backgrounds weren't unusual for the Jedi, after all.

Though there were also the more privilieged ones. One of those, a handsome young lad with an Alderaanian accent and platinum-blonde hair, let out a shriek as he discovered one of the "lifeforms" in dirt.

I chuckled quite a bit, partially because of Calvin and Hobbes.

"Eh. What do you want to know? Why your boxers are clammy in morning? I thought that Master Murash explained that... few years ago? Pretty sure you were there too." He had no idea what else could be embarrassing.

Ares glared at him. "No. Not that." He sighed. "I just... want to know how many fail the trials. What my chances are."

Subject: [Mess Hall, Evening 0] Refuel

“You have to sweet talk up the twi’lek server, Pedaris, but his second cousin runs a Rylothian taco truck and he brings some in. It’s not Jedi sanctioned cafeteria food, but so greasy and delicious I can’t refuse. Want one?” he offered as he put one to his mouth with a satisfying bite.

"Hooray for Silas! Isn't that great news everyone?" She looked around at the kids to make sure they were focused on the treats. "Everything's fine here now Silas. Just a small fracas but we're all fine now. Thanks for the doughnuts. How are you?"

Now that there was another adult in the room, so to speak, she stood up. "You've got this right? I'll just be a moment." Zizzy quickly walked over to join Byron and take a closer look at whatever she had felt.

"Ouch. Face planting does happen sometimes, but it's a bit less for me now." O'vala patted the training saber on her waist. "I could show you now, if you like. Oh, but there're all these things. The archives is like the one place I don't try to flip around."

Subject: The Show [D1 Mid Evening, Dealer's Den, open]

"If your sure, though I think you'd look good in something like that." It certainly couldn't make her look worse. "I like making all kinds of things." He replied thoughtfully. "Stuff like this can be fun every now and again, so can the kinda stuff you see in video games and comic books though. I'd like to try my hand at some of the costumes in Force Caliber 6 someday."

He chuckled. "I just need to find more people I can dress up I suppose. It's boring just to make things for me."

Now that would be a game where seeing the Apprentice, Vader, and Yoda wouldn't be so weird (like it was in Soul Calibur 4).

"No." Master Orgus said agreeably, nodding. "They were training sabers. The name implies that there's something that they're training for."

His eyebrows went up. "You don't intend to use a training saber out in the field, do you? Or expect to be going up against them?"

Master Orgus Din is a master of Sarcasm Form, it seems.

"How can they know if they wore a mask, but not if they had boobs?" Jedi robes weren't that concealing... Unless Revan was flatter then Valee. He shook his head dismissing that train of thought.

Neither I nor Zanja had ever given much thought to Revan's boobs before...

Suddenly, O'vala starts screaming incoherently...

Oh noes, the dreaded Hanoi Tower, staple puzzle of every Bioware game since 1999 (I presume)!!!

The twists and turns of The Works were labyrinthine, but with the aid of the map, the students were able to find their way well enough. They were also able to spot and avoid the various dangers that they came across, like the mysteriously smoking puddle, or the less mysteriously sparking conduit. At one point, they had to crawl through an access corridor that looked as though it possibly hadn't been used since it was built.

Finally, they made their way almost to the end of the path, as indicated on the map. The last room, though, was blocked by a very solid door, taking up the entire width of the corridor, and clearly reinforced. Next to it, was a lit console. It was obvious that the console and the door were connected in some way.

Subject: Stranger Things (D3EE, Invitation Only!)

Zanja was less considerate. She set her jaw and stuck her hand up and out toward the nearest ysalamir, determinedly giving it a big whiff of Zabrak fingers.

Most likely the sessile creature wouldn't be particularly interested, except possibly to recoil slightly.

"Pretty boring little guys, considering they must be really strong in the Force," she commented, glowering mildly at it.

Is Zanja establishing dominance against the ysalamir?

Subject: EVENT: Knightfall (D4, EE)

The ringleader of the Sith seemed to be a young woman. She wore a school uniform, although its materials and precise tailoring spoke of extremely expensive custom-make. Her blonde hair was long and artfully done, expensive clothing and expensive grooming combining into a pretty, arrogant, package. Or perhaps just pretty arrogant. She leaned forward with a smirk over the table the Ithorians sat at; they shrank back as she drew near. Her lips moved, but her voice was too soft for the Jedi to hear.

Suddenly she straightened. One hand came up to partially cover her mouth. It did nothing to cover the peals of haughty, mocking laughter that came from the young Sith woman. To her side, a pair of flunkies laughed along with her. The remaining Sith at least grinned.

"Is 'uuuge." Mir turned, his eyes wide open. "The biggest kriffin fish I've ever seen." he licked his lips. "Moves pretty slow though. I think I could catch it."

Subject: Fourtynine times (Day 3 Early Night)

"I got it." Zanja smirked at Silas and scampered over to the vehicle cab.

"Yo." Grabbing the receiver, she let her voice deepen and roughen to a gruff growl. "This's the Red Hawkbats. We don't approve of you nerf-louses grabbing kids from our neighborhoods without our say-so." That was a little bit of a guess, but Black Sun was rumored to be expanding its reach, and it would make a lot of sense for them to be taking prisoners from areas they were trying to bring under control, not the ones they were already 'protecting.

Zanja cleared her throat. Gangster-voice was hard on the larynx.

"Do it again, we might hit you again. You got lots of other good businesses down there, and you're gonna find slaving isn't too profitable in the long run. Red Hawkbats out."

She stared at the receiver for a moment while some crackly cursing came from the other end of the line. The vehicle controls had obviously been modified quite a bit from factory standard, and she couldn't figure out how to hang up. Finally, she shrugged and took out the blaster again. Hopping out of the cab, she hit the console with a stun bolt, effectively killing the comm.

"Boring conversation anyway."

Zanja stuck the blaster back into her waistband.
