Heavy Metal (Day 2 Early Evening, Hanagr)

[Silas Myles Pearson]

"That's good though. I think it's a point all of us look for." That was kind of like meditating right?

"Maybe you should aim for that point then try to answer questions?"

[O'vala Aeser]

"Sometimes I forget the question if I do that though." O'vala sighed. "I feel like I'm so close to finding out more about the Force but it's so hard."

[Silas Myles Pearson]

"Well, I cant really help with that." Silas offered with a shrug. "I'm not really a expert when it comes to using force powers or any of that."

"Zizzy or someone could probably tell you more."

[O'vala Aeser]

"Zizzy seems pretty smart." And pretty. O'vala wondered why so many of the other younglings were attractive. Silas too! It wasn't fair to be a Jedi among such attractive people. "I guess everyone has different talents!"

[Silas Myles Pearson]

"She is." Silas agreed with a grin. "And her tenderils are like little satelite dishes." That seemed like as good of an explanation as anything. "But yeah, we all have diffrent talents. You're alot better then me at flipping and stuff like that."

[O'vala Aeser]

"I think it's easier to train your body than to suddenly get smart." She wasn't so sure, though.

[Silas Myles Pearson]

"It's probably about the same... Just instead of lifting weights you read books." Trainign your mind in other words. "Taking tests, and stuff like that helps too. Though those are hard for some and not for others."

[O'vala Aeser]

"Yeah, but when you're lifting weights, you can see your muscles get bigger! You don't really get to see that when you're reading books. Unless there're machines that let you see?"

[Silas Myles Pearson]

"Well you do see your tests scores going up, so there is some way to track your progress. Your head doesn't get any bigger though. Well, not literally at least." That would be weird. "I guess that does make it a bit harder to quantify though."

[O'vala Aeser]

"Doing well on a test could be different though. Maybe you just got lucky that day!"

[Silas Myles Pearson]

"Well, I suppose that's possible if there are multiple choice answers. But if it's something you have to write out? Like math?" Luck seldom had anythign to do with it. "You have to actually know the answers for stuff like that."

[O'vala Aeser]

"That's true. I don't really get math." O'vala sighed. "So many numbers, and once you get something wrong in the steps, everything goes wrong."

[Silas Myles Pearson]

"That's math for you." Silas replied with a slight smile.

"And lucky you don't have to really worry about it. Most people don't need to know all that much of it."

[O'vala Aeser]

"I guess you can always just stab your lightsaber into something if you can't figure out the math." That seemed to be the way things worked in the galaxy, at least.

[Silas Myles Pearson]

"Sometimes." Silas said with a nod. "That always has the chance to cause more problems though."

[O'vala Aeser]

""But it's also quicker!" O'vala added in, "Sometimes it can cause problems if you take too much time trying to figure out the 'right' way to solve the problem."

[Silas Myles Pearson]

"And it can cause more problems doing it the wrong way." Silas replied. "What if you stab the computer console on the ship to stop it and it turns off light support or something?"

[O'vala Aeser]

"But what if it also kills like the engines when you only needed to free the prisoners, therefore letting your friends catch up more easily?" O'vala shrugged. "Maybe I watch too many holovids."

[Silas Myles Pearson]

"You probably do." Silas repleid with a smile. "But tell me, do you really want to be in space on a spip with no propulsion and no life support? Even if your friends might be on their way?' He shook his head. "It's not like you'll be going any slower after all, you just won't be able to steer out of the way of any obstacles."

[O'vala Aeser]

"The ship doesn't stop when you kill the engines?" O'vala closed her eyes. "It doesn't slow down at all?"
