OOC: You do know Beni! He'd sometimes get you doughnuts when you were younger!
Who actually is an honest good guy, as far as merchants can be... mostly. The ithorian sells hand-crafted jewellry from off-world crafters, usually from more "primitive folks" as the snobs would say. Though he sometimes also uses this as a cover to sell more lucrative off-world folksy crafts that were not obtained through legal means (*cough*tombraiding*cough*). However, he does not deal with Black Sun, and has stayed clear away from that sort of crime that uses far too much violence for his tastes.

“Yeah that is Beni ‘Fast Mouths’, he’s a character but a good one on the whole. Not sure why he would deal with Black Suns, not his particular brand of business. Which means he could be in trouble or maybe they want something from him, neither is good; little one stay here with the others I need to talk to an old friend,” Byron said before putting down the youngling next to the others.

“Save a doughnut for me,” he added. Unless stopped he will head over to the Beni and the Black Suns sergeant.

"Byron. Wait."

Halo's gesture caused Zizzy to unleash the full power of her fully operational percepto-tendrils on the Nautolan. For a moment she was one with the universe. She saw everything.

"Oh my..."

He paused and looked back asking, “What do your Mikkian tendrils… feel?”

[Faily]

OOC: It is subtle, but the way the Force speaks to you and the sensitivity of your tendrils alert you to the danger at hand. The concealed blaster under the jacket directed at Beni. The hushed tones the Nautolan is speaking... "just make it fast, and don't try to make a scene - or I'll make this into a murder-scene". You cannot see what it is that Beni passes to the Nautolan, but you can feel it... it's like an echo in the Force.

Careful not to make any sudden moves that might attract undue attention Zizzy leaned in towards Byron. She kept her voice low enough that only the small group of trainees could hear. "The Nautolan has a blaster pointed at Beni and threatened to kill him. Whatever he wanted Beni just gave to him. I can feel something from it."

[Zanja]

“Good question,” Zanja muttered, casting a casual sidelong glance at the shop across the way while . With more experience of that side of life than Byron, she might be able to get a better sense of what was going on over there.

“Crap,” she said under her breath, editing down from a word she wasn’t supposed to say around little kids. “Maybe I better follow him.”

Beni was in danger that was all that Byron needed to know. Beni had been good to him, gave him doughnuts, told him about the places to eat and hang out away from troublemakers. Beni was a scoundrel but a good kind of scoundrel, the kind with a gold heart wrapped behind a need for quick credits and hair brained schemes of tomb raiding and antiquities.

He did not deserve to be threatened by two-bit scum like this thug. Byron was already striding towards Black Suns gangster with steel-eyed purpose.

OOC: Emotional Weakness triggered.

[Zizzy Roosh]

Well. That wasn't optimal. She was momentarily torn between following Byron and watching the children. Byron was a big boy. She looked at Zanja.

"Maybe you'd better follow him." Keeping her eyes on the situation, and any potential opportunities for improving their odds, she raised her voice a little.

"Okay kids, how about a game to decide who gets their first choice of doughnut? I want each of you to tell a story and then we'll vote on the winner, okay?"

[Faily]

"No trouble, no trouble," Beni mumbled in Ithorian, hands shaking a little as he pulled his hands back away from the Nautolan thug, who quickly slipped the item into a pocket on the inside of his jacket.

The many-tentacled alien grinned and patted Beni heavily on the shoulders, so far oblivious to the impending doom-by-jedi coming his way. "See, that wasn't so hard now was it? Always good business, you know!"

The kids could tell something was going on since their 'sitters' were being all serious there, but most of them were distracted by Zizzy's efforts. Reg was not, though, and was following a step behind Byron.

Byron reached out and grabbed the tentacled head of the thug and then slammed the skull into the counter. He looked at Beni and said, “Just like old times, eh Beni?”

The thug was grunted and Byron lifted the head and slammed it again for good measure. He frowned and said, “I really don’t like Black Sun.”

Byron knelt down and checked for the weapon and whatever was taken from Beni.

"Ri-i-ight..." Zanja skulked after Byron, catching up in time to plant a hand on Reg's shoulder as the Nautolan's head connected with the shop counter. She winced and drew Reg into the shadow of her robes, standing faux-nonchalantly off to one side of the shop entrance, keeping a sharp eye out in case the button man had backup... or anybody else in the vicinity seemed a little too interested in the proceedings.

"Subtle, Mik," she muttered under her breath.

Reg flinched a little at the suddeness of what happened, but otherwise seemed very undisturbed.

"Phew, Byron!" the Ithorian tensed and then visibly relaxed once he saw who had come to his rescue. "Times have changed from when I was the one saving you from a pinch."

On the Nautolan, there was a blaster pistol, some loose change, a coupon card for a place called Silent Sun, and a disk-like object wrapped in cloth - now even Byron too could sense there was something special about it like Zizzy had said.

[Zizzy Roosh]

Well, that had gone a lot better than it probably should have. Clearly the force was with them today. "Okay everyone, don't talk over each other. One story at a time." She felt the urge to go and examine the thing she had felt, whatever it was. Her attention was drawn to it.

[Silas Myles Pearson]

Doughnuts purchased Silas walked out of the shop and had a look around, more then a little surprised at the state of things. Still panicking wouldn't help, and he was an adult so he walked up to join Zizzy and the majority of the kids.

"Doughnuts are here!" He declared happily, his eyes turning to Zizzy a bit questionungly.

[Zizzy Roosh]

"Hooray for Silas! Isn't that great news everyone?" She looked around at the kids to make sure they were focused on the treats. "Everything's fine here now Silas. Just a small fracas but we're all fine now. Thanks for the doughnuts. How are you?"

Now that there was another adult in the room, so to speak, she stood up. "You've got this right? I'll just be a moment." Zizzy quickly walked over to join Byron and take a closer look at whatever she had felt.

He glanced at Zanja, “Flag down a security officer if you could, I am betting this upstanding bloke would love to talk to them.” He looked at the coupon and slipped it into his robes. He took the loose change and placed it on the counter for Beni. The blaster for now he slipped into his belt until they could find some authorities.

“Well I owe you a great deal Beni, so it was nothing, honestly, but whatever this is might be more trouble then you can handle,” he said holding up the wrapped object.

“We can be square by allowing the Jedi to hold onto this, whatever it is. What is this?” he asked.

[Zanja]

Right, I’m sure your Ithorian mate there really wants to explain all this to the security services so he can press charges, Zanja thought with a mostly-internal eyeroll. “In a tick. I want to know what that thing is too. And what the Suns want with it, if it’s, you know... us stuff.”

[Byron Mik]

That put the focus back on Beni and he added, “Well spill it Beni, what tomb did you have raid to get this relic?”

[Silas Myles Pearson]

Abandoned with the better part of a half dozen children and a bag of doughnuts, Silas made the best he could of things. Though if those three thoughht they would be able to escape from this without modeling a few of his designs they didn't know him well. "Okay!" He offered with a chipper smile as he squatted down to better pass out the doughnuts.

"Now who had first pick?" He asked as he glanced better the children. "Was it you, Diz?" He asked as he looked at Riko. "Or maybe it was Lyssa?" His eyes moved towards the little Twi'lek.
