(D2 LA) Admiral Snackbar

[Mir]

With the test out of the way and with Mir having taken an actual shower. He wasn't particularly damp anymore, the blow drier had taken care of that. However, the same blow drier also meant that Mir was all sorts of fur ball, his hair standing and curly from the heat. He wore lighter robes, letting his tail swing free. Starving, the farghul made his way to the cafeteria and after asking for a bowl of soup sat down. He was all in all rather pleased with himself and as much could be seen from his face.

[Eir]

There was almost a bounce in Eir’s step as she made her way to the cafeteria for a well-earned meal. This was only a tiny moment in a long life of learning and testing, but she had felt a moment of connection with the Force and, maybe she was still some ways from being One With the Force, but she couldn’t deny some small sense of pleasure at what had happened.

Grabbing a tray of food, and both a slice of brownie and a custard pudding as a reward, she looked around for a place to sit. Spotting Mir, she strode towards him, “hey, Mir.”

[Mir]

"Oh hello." the young farghul replied, slowly blinking his eyes. His tail was slowly swooshing from side to side. "How did you do? I don't think I saw you?" his paw was patting a seat next to him, the intent obvious.

[Eir]

Setting her tray down, Eir accepted the offered seat. “I ended up being one of the first bouts. I did okay. I saw you take on Master Jaric, you did well.”

[Mir]

"Thanks." Mir replied, his squeezed almost close. His ears were twitching happily, "He's really strong though. Like, really really. And fast. You wouldn't think that anything so big could move so quickly." He paused to stir his soup. "Who did you face?"

[Eir]

“Master Orgus,” she answered. “Lightsabers are pretty unforgiving, one mistake and, zzwhoop,” she made a chopping motion, “now you’re short a hand. There’s no room for the brick wall defense, even for men like Master Jaric.”

[Mir]

"Yeah. Well, I landed the first blow but that was lucky. Real lucky." Mir nodded. "Though I guess he's have ended assless." he added, chuckling in an oddly feline manner that was a half-giggle, half-purr. "Orgus' is doing your style, right? Second form?"

[Eir]

“Form three,” she corrected. “It wasn’t luck that landed your strike, it was the Force, moving you. For a moment you let the Force take guidance, and you struck a blow. The tricky part is getting your body to consciously obey the will of the Force.”

[Mir]

"Oh right, you told me. Sorry." Mir tilted his head to the side and smirked sheepishly. His tail curled to hide beneath the bench. Turning the spoon in his soup, the young farghul paused to think her words. "Force, huh. Well, it was more 'ha, now I have a chance'. Can't say I felt anything special." he whirled his paw in the air as grasping the Force that was everywhere and nowhere. "Don't think there was much focus there." he shook his head. "You, could you feel it?"

[Eir]

Eir frowned, deeply confused, the Force was in everything, she didn’t know how to not feel it any more than she could turn off her other senses. When she closed her eyes, they still worked; when she covered her ears, she could still hear. Her confusion turned to suspicion, furrowed brow deepening, why would the Masters put a youngling who doesn’t even know they feel the Force through the trials?

“You have an odd sense of humour,” she told the farghul, and began eating.

[Mir]

"Do I?" Mir for his part was confused, but seeing that Eir was eating he too reached for the spoon. Taking a sip from his soup he sighed. "It was a trap after all. See." He pointed at the menu. "Says fish soup there. But this..." a furry finger pointed at the bowl. "Is just a vegetable soup in a fish broth." Mir's ears were flopped down.

[Eir]

"Oh, I don't pay much attention to the menu, they try to make everything sound better than it really is. I just try everything at least once and decide if I like it or not." Her tray had some kind of breaded white meat that may or may not have come from something not unlike a chicken, and a salad of mixed rice grains with vegetables.

[Mir]

"I wanted fishy..." the young jedi-to-be muttered, sounding a little sad. "Fishy-fishy." he poked his soup with his bowl. "It's not bad at least." cheering up a little, Mir took an another sip. "Lots of daro root and mipples in at least. And some smak too."

[Eir]

"If you want to know what you're getting, you're better off buying something in the marketplace." Eir was glad to be fed regularly, and wasn't too upset about whether the food was boring or not.

[Mir]

"Ooh yes, sometimes I go there. To get sticky-thing-onna-stick." Mir nodded happily. "But I rather save my coin."

[Eir]

Eir nodded, she didn't need to know which thing-onna-stick Mir was referring to, you could find just about anything your heart desired on a stick and then frozen, chargrilled, or deep fried. "Speaking of feeling things, how's your tail?"

[Mir]

Mir moved his tail so that it swung in front of his nose and then grabbed it. "Still hurts a bit when I move it. Thanks for asking." he admitted. "I dont't think it's broken. Doesn't hurt that much. I got bigger kids stomping on it when I was small so it's bit wonky anyway." Mir's paws moved along his tail before coming to a stop. "It won't bend here at all anymore." With that, he let go of his tail, letting it curl around him so that the tip rested on the bench.

[Eir]

"Weird," she admitted in a curious voice. "What's it like, having a tail? Like, what do you do with it when you sleep?"

[Mir]

Mir blinked. "I don't know, I've never thought about it. It's just there. I sleep on my side and curl my tail to my paws, usually." as he spoke his tail twitched ever so slightly. "I feel it more when I'm running or climbing. It's also... a farghul thing? You can read things from others if you can see their tail. Like if they are stressed or afraid."

[Eir]

"Cool," Eir low-key wished she had a tail, not for any particular reason, it just seemed more interesting than not having one.
