[D3 MM] Zanja's debate!

[Zanja]

Zanja thought for a few moments before answering. "The way everybody talks about it, it's not that uncommon," she said finally. "Seems like it's always waiting around the corner from us."

[Jaric Kaedan]

Jaric gave her a wry smile for a brief second. "Yes, and no. A Jedi falling is far rarer than you'd think, however, that doesn't mean it is unheard of or a laughing matter. Chances are high none of your peers won't fall. Maybe slip, or skirt the edges..."

[Zanja]

"Hmph." Zanja considered that as well, in her own time. "So you're saying most people do pull themselves back."

[Jaric Kaedan]

"Something like that. Most have the wisdom or insight to realise that what they have done is wrong, and many choose to confess such trespasses to their masters, or to the council," he explained calmly. He had seen it happen a few times in his life. "It is perhaps the greatest wisdom to realise your errors, acknowledge them, and seek to make amends."

[Zanja]

"And, what... the Council just lets them back in?" she asked, skeptical. "What if they did some bad stuff while they were 'slipping?'"

[Jaric Kaedan]

"Jedi do not give up on one another," he noted calmly. "Some must stand trial and recieve punishement from the council, but it must've been a mighty long fall before the Jedi give up on someone completely."

[Zanja]

"Hmph." Zanja grumped faintly, but she seemed more or less satisfied with that answer. "So if you want to come back, it means you're not too far gone? Is that the idea?" She shook her head slightly. "I don't want to ever have to deal with all that, but... people mess up. Could be somebody I know. Hopefully not."

Jaric gave a half-shrug, followed by a half-nod. "Something like that. We hope it never happens, of course. But it's good to be prepared."
