She gave a few nods, at least knowing that the learning the two weapons will be different. Every little bit helped in preparing herself for this rather mysterious and nebulous journey, all of this on top of growing up too.

Esla couldn't help but smile back at Farissa. "We are...but I know you. I know of you, at least. You're a trained master Jedi here and everyone respects you. You're also friendly. I guess I don't know about the others. Do you think we'll even see each other after the trial?"

"Who knows," Farissa sighed wistfully. "The Force works in mysterious ways, and well, if you have a strong bond to someone - the Force finds a way to bring people together."

Her chuckle was soft. "I'm flattered you think so highly of me though. But remember that you'll never be alone as a Jedi. Even if you might not see the other students again for a long time, a Jedi is never alone."

"Right," Esla said with a few nods of acceptance. "That's probably something I'll have to learn, especially when it comes to making strong bonds with people. Perhaps the Force will guide me somewhere now that I've started on the right path finally."

"Hmm, yes. In my experience, the Force can often lead you to very unexpected connections to. But we'll see. Maybe you'll meet someone new, even," she mused thoughtfully.

"How would you feel if you were to meet someone more... shall we say, dangerous, approached you? Like a Sith, or a Mandalorian?"

Esla wished she could imagine who this person might be but found herself lacking in imagination. She supposed she was probably contending with everyone around her at the moment to worry who she might meet in the future, for better or worse.

She blinked at the question. "Oh, uhm...I haven't met a Sith or a Mandalorian before...I don't know what I'd do but probably not cause trouble. Maybe leave as soon as possible?"

"What if something prevented you from leaving? Like... they were confronting you, or putting other people at risk?" Farissa challenged the young woman's thinking to make the hypothetical situation more difficult.

She knit her brows together in thought with a pensive frown at the situation. "In that case...I would have to try to reason with them to stop doing what they were doing. Perhaps see if they make the first move to aggression or relent. If things get bad enough, I think I might actually have to fight. I would prefer to avoid that if possible."

With this in mind, she was a bit at a loss at how she was going to talk them down effectively without talking much to them. Maybe body language could be more than enough? If she could sense their emotions, why not the other way around? ...Right?

"Ok..." Farissa nodded slowly, "that could work. At least you have the right mindset, in thinking about talking, before fighting. That's a good start." She didn't mind giving the timid girl some praise. "Just don't be afraid to fight, ok? I know it's hard to find that balance."

"I won't be afraid," she said, pursing her lips afterwards as she tried to picture herself in a situation where she'd actually have to fight for her life and no in practice. "...I have been practicing a lot with my form. It's good for exercise and helps me focus too. I think I'm ready to use it in such a situation if I have to."

"That's good." Farissa seemed a little proud at that answer. "I hope you don't have to find yourself in that situation too soon, but well... we'll see what happens during this trip."

Esla swallowed after a quick blink. "Hopefully...but I suppose what will happen will happen on this trial. We can't be prepared for everything and I think that in itself is part of the test?"

"Something like that," Farissa confessed as she stretched out in her chair with her arms over her head. "To let you in on a little secret, there's a lot about the trials that aren't obvious at first glance - or even the second one. Some things being considered a test that seems like a normal occurrance to you."

She grinned like a blue cheshire cat and got up on her feet. "Well! At least it was like that when I was your age. You did good today, Esla. You did good."

"Mmm, oh..." Esla murmured on a note of realization as her eyes slowly drifted to the room as if looking out for hidden persons or cameras that might be pointed at her direction. Her hands returned to her lap with straight shoulders. She felt a little self-conscious, wondering about the things she said and did before. It did seem more like an interview than a debate at the moment.

She gave Farissa a small smile at the given praise and nodded. "Thank you."

While she still had the master here, she looked off and tried to think if she was missing anything else before she could go. "Ah...uhm...Is there anything else I should know or do?"

"About the trials, or something else on your mind, Esla?" Farissa asked as she straightened her clothes from the natural wrinkles that care from sitting down.

"Oh..." Esla fumbled with her thoughts now that she put herself on the spot. "I guess when it comes to preparation of the trials, Master Farissa."

"Ah, I see, hmm," a gloved finger tapped her lower lip in thought. "Well, I think the best advice I can give you is to follow your instincts, Esla. Or try to work together with one of your fellow students to compliment eachother - covering for eachother's weaknesses. No one can be prepared for everything."

Esla nodded enthusiastically as she followed the words from Farissa's advice, committing them to memory. Now, getting those done will be a matter altogether but she supposed that some direction from the kind Master was a start at least. "Of course, of course! I will remember that. Thank you for the wise words and thank you for your time, Master Farissa."

She rose from her seat and did something of a curtsey.

Farissa smiled at the quaint motion of a curtsy. It was so rare to see that these days on Coruscant, she felt!

"Anytime, Esla. As always, I and the other masters are always there if there's anything. As are your fellow students. Now, run along, and continue to improve as you always have."

Esla gave Farissa a small smile and an eager nod to show her ready commitment. She had said more than her share today and made her leave to prep herself for the tour later today.
