Meet and Greet (D5, LA)

[Eir]

Eir hadn't been late, she'd just gone unnoticed and, for the time being, that was fine with her; she was here to listen, not talk.

[Faily]

"Lord Destrus." Orgus said, with a nod and a smile. His eyes seemed especially alert, staying on Destrus as he spoke. "It's been a while, hasn't it?"

Still, he always had a moment for his students. He gave Zizzy a quick acknowledging nod and smile, without the alert edge he'd given the Sith Lord.

"Almost too long, but seeing an old face is quite the experience..."

“Your conflicts with Master Orgus are legend, it seems the Force wishes for you both to be in orbit. You mentioned devotion to the Force, I don’t see myself as a servant of the Force only a servant of the people, the Force works through me, thus things happen as the Force demands of the universe as a whole since we are all connected,” he responded calmly.

“I liken it to gravity, we all have a certain amount of pull some greater than others, some will come into violent conflict while others will simply pass by. Some come into harmonious orbits…”

“I do not wish to make demands of the Force, only seek to be an instrument that acts in tune with it, if that makes sense to a fellow student,” he offered with no sarcasm.

"Legend? Such flattery, my dear student," he pressed a hand to his chest. Where his heart was. Or should be? "Such a limiter you put on yourself though, to see yourself as a servant. The Force shall set me free is the final and most important line of the Sith code. Would you not say it is a bit short-sighted to claim that all that happens is as the Force wills it? The destruction of a planet, or the growth of parasites... why, one would maybe say the Force has a rather vicious streak if that was the case." He chuckled a strange and mirthless chuckle.

The head turned slightly, looking through the group of jedi students. The purple light seemed to settle on Eir. "My child, do not be frightened. Step forward." He stretched out his arms to welcome the half-Arkanian.

[Eir]

Eir's eyes narrowed, "if I was afraid, that means you are a danger to us, and I don't think you're that stupid. Not when you invited us here," her hands were folded and tucked into her sleeves, and she offered a polite smile to the Darth. Master Chriala would probably not appreciate such straight talk from the girl.

[Byron Mik]

“I consider the Force amoral, like nature. It simply is,” he responded.

“Well my knowledge of the Force is limited compared to my Masters and Teachers, I have not had the boon of time and experience to broaden my horizons. In time I may have a more nuanced view of the Force and the galaxy at large, like Master Din.”

[Faily]

If the mask could smile, it probably would have. "Ah, such spirited youth," he complimented Eir. Or chided. It was hard to nail down the true intent of his voice.

"Indeed, young man, you should keep an open mind to other ideas and truths of the galaxy. You will find it most enlightening to shed the preconceptions installed from a teacher, and carve out your own belief on your path."

“If that is so, do you expect your students to shed your teachings and find their own paths?” Byron asked.

[Eir]

Eir let her smile fade away to nothing as Byron and the Darth continued their discussion. She was not interested in such bickering, disguised as it was.

“If that is so, do you expect your students to shed your teachings and find their own paths?” Byron asked.

"Naturally." He stated as a matter of fact, but the light seemed more directed towards Eir. "A creation's purpose is to unleash its own full potential once it has completed its metamorphosis. It is a most delightful process to witness, especially when they take such unexpected turns. To fly away and to one day suddenly stand before you again."

[Silas Myles Pearson]

"Indeed?" The eyebrow went back up. "And here I was given to understand that the Republic appreciated diversity. Is this not so?" Eyelashes fluttered at him.

After a moment, she chuckled. "I expect that, in certain circles, it would make quite a hit. Not on Coruscant, perhaps, but Alderaan, or Naboo."

"The republic does repect diversity, and political settings I'm sure you're riight it would make quite a hit." There was a lingering pause. "But fashion is fashion and the younger crowd lives by constatly shifting trends. I really didn't mean to insult your choices in dress last night, I was just stating things from what I know. Ribbons are in, not ties, vests without sleeves, stockings with a pattern to them instead of sheer black."

"The same could be said about this dress to a degree, that it's a bit dated, though now I know it's high fashion among Sith nobles that does put it in another light." He really couldn't tell her not to wear it if it was fashionable where she came from. "Especially since the color does rather suit you."

"I suppose what I'm try to say is I'm sorry, I spoke a bit hastily last night. I didn't take into account that your fashion trends would be different then the ones I know."

[Zizzy Roosh]

Things started to click into place for Zizzy and she collected a drink and took it over to Eir. She touched the shorter girl's arm a moment to draw her attention away from the Sith Lord. "Hey, would you like a glass of water?" Maybe to throw in purple mask's face.

[Eir]

Eir unfolded her hands and accepted the cup, "thanks, Zizz," the half-arkanian took a deep breath, slowly drumming her claws on the sides of the vessel. "You feel something, don't you?" and maybe I would too, if I were actually ready for these trials, she silently added.

[Byron Mik]

Byron listened and although the response had been a bit flippant he judged the answer as truthful in it’s way. He glanced at the younger Sith and then back to the purple light and said, “I think I understand that does not seem all that dissimilar from what we have been taught. Learn from our masters and then forge our own truth.”

“I thank you, that was informative.”

[Esla Tor]

Corvin was also there to keep an eye on things, but in a decidedly more dark avenger of the night sort of way.

Scowling, and with crossed arms, he leaned against the wall not far from where Esla was. Eventually, he acknowledged her at least with a grunt and a nod.

Perhaps relieved to have a partner-in-silence, Esla gave Corvin a half-bow in acknowledge of the master. She didn't need to talk here, especially when everyone was already talking. Strength in appearances, that's something she could ace at in spades. Hopefully.

Corvin gave Esla a nod of acknowledgement. After a bit of time passed in silence, he smiled, chuckling softly. He raised a glass of punch to her before drinking it, happy to find someone as comfortable with silence as he.

As the Sith Lord focused on the students, though, Corvin straightened, a dark look on his features.

Drascovina stared at him with narrowed eyes as she sorted out whether this string of talk was more compliment or insult.

Finally, she smiled. "Very well then." Her chin tilted upwards. "Perhaps, then, by way of amends, you might select a few refreshments for me? I would myself, but I must take care for my lace cuffs. You understand, I'm sure." She favored him with another smile.

"Are you sure you want to trust me with that task when it's so obvious our tastes don't match, Lady Malveaux?" Silas asked after a moment, fairly certain the woman was trying to make him into some kind of servant. "You seem to have a army of admirer's that seem willing to jump at the task asfter all."

"If you insist though, I'll oblige. But I'd like you to allow me to make amends in my own way as well." On the inside Silas wanted to sigh, talking like an important person really wwasn't fun at all. He really wasn't sure why this girl seemed to enjoy it so much.

[Esla Tor]

As Corvin turned his attention to the Sith, Esla did the same. Her attention went to Silas and Drascovina. She bit back her lip to stop herself from frowning. It seemed even after that incident at the restaurant, she wasn't going to take it easy on them. Barbs within pleasantries.

[Hatoful GM]

"Oh, them." Drascovina dismissed her minions with a elegantly casual wave.

She gave him another of her edged smiles. "In that case, I shall insist. I am curious to see what you bring me." One eyebrow went up. "And what other amends you intend to make."

[Silas Myles Pearson]

"Well, this will be quick enough. The second might take a bit more time. I suppose we can discuss it when I return." He eyed the young woman for a moment before turning towards the refrestment table. "I'm going to wager a guess that despite your choice in resturants last evening bugs, and root vegetables aren't normally your meal of choice. He said over his shoulder as he walked away.

He did well not to slocuh on his way to the refresment table, though he did let out a long slow breath. Well here goes nothing... He didn't take two long selectign the three horderves for the young woman, something told him he would fail whatever he picked, but he tried to get a variety. The final touch was a glass of wine, somethign with bubbles and hopefully a little dry. Perhaps it would work as a palate cleanser.

He came strolling up to Dracovina a few moments later plate in one hand, glass in the other. "Your refreshments, Lady Malveaux."

[Hatoful GM]

Lady Drascovina sniffed. "Bugs, indeed! Is that what the h... that is, the Ithorians eat? How curious." As Silas went to the refreshments table, she waited, idly toying with her fan.

"Hmmm..." She frowned as she studied the plate. Setting it and the glass on the adjacent table, she selected one at random. Raising it ever so slowly to her lips, as though about to sample a bug, she took a dainty bite. A few moments passed.

"... acceptable." She said finally. Another moment, and she ate the rest of the morsel, swallowing it down in a moment. She smiled at Silas. "Well done, Silas. Perhaps there's hope for you yet."
