[D0 Afternoon] Wax On Wax Off

[Ares Pax]

"Master" the youngling greeted his mentor formally. He was already warmed up and ready to go.

"Knight Farissa was quite helpful." He glanced at her kindly.

[Farissa Kho]

"I am always very helpful," the Pantoran beamed a smile, much to the annoyance of the older master. "Buuut, I have places to be and all. I hope you'll think about what I said, eh Ares?"

With a twirl on her heel that made her hair flip over her shoulder, she looked to Byron. "And let me know if you're looking for a good place to eat outside the temple. I know the best places. For now though - may the Force be with you, younglings! And you too, Jaric!"

And with a wave and a smile, Farissa seemed to slip away with more exuberance than she had when showing up as she walked with a bounce in her step to the door and departed.

[Jaric Kaedan]

"May the Force be with you too, Knight Kho," Jaric said politely though with a great deal of reservation to his tone. He wasn't going to claim she hadn't been helpful to the young lads, but he didn't seem quite approving either.

"Don't let my presence interrupt the workout for either of you, young ones," he said as he looked to Byron and Ares.

[Byron Mik]

"Of course, Master," Byron responded though he wasn't sure if he was in the mood for more training but here he was.

[Ares Pax]

"Will do Master Farissa." Ares nodded towards her as she left, before raising his sabre in a basic stance. "Of course Master Kaedan." He took a deep breath, and started a series of movements, sharp and strong, though a bit predictable.

He moved forward with wide slashes and deep thrusts. He tried to get the hang of parrying, though, it still felt awkward.

[Jaric Kaedan]

Jaric nodded approvingly of Ares getting back to his training, pausing to observe the young man's form for a while before looking to Byron.

"Is something on your mind, Byron?" he asked calmly.

[Byron Mik]

“Huh… oh yeah, just thinking about our fellow Jedi on Bankor facing the Mandalorian fighters. It’s no secret I wanted to go, but well I was not as far along as Padawan Lunda, so here I am. The Force needs me here, just trying to understand why,” he said in a distracted reply.

[Jaric Kaedan]

"Mm," he nodded thoughtfully. "It's not always easy to understand - not even the Order were in full agreement regarding Bankor. We have been at war with the Mandalorians before, and it cost us greatly. Albeit because of the hubris of a few."

Jaric folded his arms over his chest. "But I agree with the council that a war needs more than just warriors. The Jedi who have gone to Bankor are all capable and clever. As for where the Force needs you - perhaps it will be more revealed to you during your trials? I too felt like you did as a student. I wished to fight, but Master Zho insisted on us going through our trials as per tradition rather than throwing us into the fires of war."

[Byron Mik]

“I actually don’t want to fight; I just want to help others in need that are suffering due to the selfishness of others. If I could find a way to resolve it with words then that would be ideal,” Byron responded.

[Ares Pax]

Ares listened in, while trying to perfect his form. After a series of movements, he slowed down and stopped.

"War is sometimes not a choice." He nodded to the both of them. "Yet the Jedi must take part and end if as necessary, if we are to protect the innocent. Bankor... what I heard, it's not an easy situation." He looked away. "And sometimes the situation in front of us is not what it seems. We can only decide to the best of our abilities. And live with the consequences." Or die.

[Byron Mik]

Byron nodded in agreement and looked to the Master.
