"Not sure unlimited power is worth being alone at the top," he responded.

Drascovina smiled with clearly exaggerated sweetness. "Then it must not be for you." She cooed.

She took another bite of her crab cakes. For how small her bites were, they still seemed to be vanishing quite quickly.

“Probably not, but knowing that I have helped others and left the Galaxy in a better state than when I arrived is perhaps all the power I need. We all return to the Force, even if we live for ten thousand years there is a day that will come when we are not,” he said calmly.

“Better to me to have lived well, did what you could to not be a total jerk and be fondly remembered by those you leave behind. Or live fast, die young, leave behind a nice looking corpse,” he said chuckling.

“Sounds like a song. You like music? I feel like with all that passion and anger the Sith must have some bloody crazy music.”

Sipping her wine, Drascovina focused on this last bit.

"We certainly do." She smirked. "I won't say that it makes Wook rock sound like nursery rhymes, because Wook rock is actually pretty neat..." She chuckled. "But still. You should try some, if you haven't heard it before."

Byron nodded, “Well how about a cultural exchange, you give me some music from the Empire and I can send you some classic of the cantina-synth era from the Republic… you know She blinded me with Ions, Wookiee Fighting… or the always classic Don’t You Want Me by the Twi’lek League,” Byron said excitedly.

“You were working as a slave hostess at a cantina, when I met you! I picked you out, I freed you up and turned you around, turned you into someone new! Now five years later on you’ve got the galaxy at your feet, success was easy for you, but don’t you forget it’s me who put you where you are now and I can put you back down too!” Byron sang trying to mimic the singer's voice.

Then the refrain hit, “Don’t, don’t you want me? You know I can’t believe when I hear you won’t see me…”

Byron sang out along with the song, “Don’t you want me honey… don’t you want me ooooooh…” he composed himself and added, "You know... a classic."

Drascovina watched through the whole performance, wine glass in her hand. Her expression did not change: one eyebrow raised, and what might be the tiniest hint of a smile on her lips.

"Yeeeeeeeeees..." She said as he finished. "Bravo. I accept your proposal to exchange music." She smirked. "It will be a pleasure to hear that song performed by actual singers, I'm sure." Truthfully, it seemed like she was at least amused, but what was she supposed to do, not say something mean?

Byron laughed and said, “Any time princess, and yes they do it much better justice then I can. Guess I will have to post pone my retirement to Nar Shaddaa to become a cantina lounge singer.”

“I will make you a wonderful mix of all the best music to relax and dance to, because if you are not dancing to the music or if it does not move you then what is the point?” he set the wine down, he felt a little heady and needed a moment and added, “I think I see the appeal of this whole wine thing.”

The eyebrow went a little higher. "Princess, is it?" She meditated on that a few moments, before nodding. "I like it."

She laughed softly, amused. "Oh, dear. Does Jedi Cop not usually drink alcohol?"

Jedi Cop effected a tough guy drawl, "I try to stay at my best just in case any dangerous birds come around with their pretty smiles and deadly looks and take me off my game. Never know when you need to punch a gangster in the face, or when the other stilleto shoe will drop."

Byron laughed losing his hard edge and added, "Yeah drinking wine isn't part of the formal Jedi education."

[Hatoful GM]

"Oh, dear." Drascovina laughed.

After a moment, she pouted. "And here I was, thinking that I might permit you to drive me back to the temple. But if you've had too much wine... Sith might be bold, but we're not stupid."

"Oh I am not drunk, I just won't be partaking of any more wine," he replied kindly.

"A Jedi knows their limits."

[Hatoful GM]

"I see." Drascovina said, one eyebrow going up. "Does that mean you'll be giving me a ride back?"

"Only if you ask nicely," he said warmly taking a drink of water.

Drascovina's eyes narrowed. "Ask? You should want to give me a ride back." Ask nicely? Had he been paying attention?!?!

She fluttered her eyelashes. "Don't you want to spend a bit more time with me?"

"Ugh, yeah... of course, it is the right thing to do," he replied with slight embarrassment.

"Of course, I enjoy these friendly chats."

[Hatoful GM]

Dracovina smiled, 50% pleased, 50% smug. "Oh, good." She cooed.

He expression became a touch more thoughtful. "Indeed. Yes. I suppose I enjoy them, too." She looked at Byron, eyes narrowing. "You're an interesting fellow, Jedi Cop. I shall look forward to hearing of your exploits in the future. Criminals punched, and thrown into things, and what not."

"I look forward to hearing about your future conquests... burning... worlds and crushing your enemies," he replied awkwardly.

"I won't need all the details."

[Hatoful GM]

She gave one of her haughty laughs, hand raised to near her mouth. "Oh, I'm sure you will."

Her eyebrows went up. "Shall we, then?"

Byron rose and offered his arm for the lady, “This way to your carriage, Lady Malveaux.”

"My my." Drascovina's eyebrows went up, even as she rose to her feet. "It seems that Jedi are capable of class, after all."

She gracefully placed her hand upon his offered arm; the way of the nobility. "Lead on, Jedi Cop."
