"All's fair in love and dinner," Zanja replied with a toothy grin. Then her expression became intent for a few moments as she thought she felt a tug on her line... but no, it must have been some seaweed, or a curious fish too smart to get hooked.

"That almost makes it sound like you think it's okay to throe stun grenade sat your lover, Di." He rather hoped that wasn't the case, from what he heard grenades were pretty darn painful after all. "Get a bite?" He asked, as he say the concentration appear on her features. Maybe they were about to get their next fishy?

Silas Myles Pearson wrote:"I guess that could work." He really wasn't sure how well though. "Maybe a speargun or something would be better though? Then you could attach a line to it and pull the fish in after you shoot it?"

Mir's movements were practiced but after a few moments Silas gave a nod. "I think I can finish that up."

"Oki-doki." Mir nodded, grabbing the fish and tossing it to Silas once more. "You have knife or you want mine?" he asked, holding his knife as if he was to throw it at him if he seemed to need it. Behind his shades, the young farghul was blinking his eyes in a kindly manner.

Zanja wrote:A plume of white spray from the vicinity of the distant fish/boat/fish-shaped boat lent some weight to the "fish" hypothesis. Meanwhile, Zanja continued to jiggle her line, hoping for a more manageable-sized catch. How long does this take, anyway?

"Dunno if you can shoot stuff under water with an energy blaster," she pointed out, apparently seriously considering the idea of blaster-fishing. "Maybe a stun grenade...?"

"No wish spray like that." Mir vocalized Zanja's doubts. "I think. Many strange things live in the seas. Tentacley stuff and flimsy-fluffy stuff that burns you. I saw this on holovid." Everything on holovid was true, of course. "Oh and really big fish. Enough to feed a city." he sounded rather happy with that idea. "If the fishy hides, you 'nade it. If it comes to surface, you blast it. Simple." Mir nodded in agreement with Zanja. "Though with bigger fish you might want a bigger boom."

"And an awfully big boat, to pull it out onto," Zanja added. She might not know a lot about marine life, but that much, her basic physics courses made her fairly confident of. "Hey!"

Just as she'd stopped paying much attention to her rod and line, it jumped again in her hand, harder this time. She had to make haste to hold onto it properly and reel in whatever she'd hooked...

((I'm going to sleep, so feel free to decide amongst yourselves if Zanja has caught an edible fish or just marine debris of some kind. ))

"I got one." Silas didn't need a knife, having brought his own in his supplies, and after waving off mir's knife we went to fetch it, though the work wasn't too fast as it was his first time

"Oh! Hey, Di's got something." Silas offered happily, looking at the Zabrak woman as she hooked something, hopefully a big fat fish. The mystery of the fish-boat would have to wait for now, there were more important things at the moment.

"Oh-og, fishy!" the young farghul leaped to action, his blood stained paws grasping the rod Zanja was holding. He didn't particularly want to help the grumpy molepine, but there was a chance she'd let the fishy run away. That wasn't something Mir would allow and so he buried his grudge in the name of food. "Pull!" following his own command Mir tugged and pulled, trying to drag Zanja's catch towards the shore. "Silas, can you clobber the kriffer when we get 'em out of the water. Zanja, don't give up!" he tried to take control of the situation.

"Um, sure!" Silas replied after a little hesitation, climbing to his feet knife in hand, and moving closer.

He wanted to be ready when they landed the fishy.

Esla blinked when it was Zanja's turn to catch something. She scooted slightly away so that she could give the others space to help out. With all of the notice and thrashing, it was unlikely she was going to catch one of her own at the same space so she distanced herself from them by a few steps.

Zanja was most certainly not going to give up! If anything, she was a bit too aggressive reeling in her prize, causing the rod to bow almost dangerously for a few seconds here and there. She wore an expression of intense determination, breaking into a grin when the fish came splashing out of the water. "Got you!"

She raised a hand to shield herself from the splashing of water from the fish that emerged from Zanja hard-fought battle.

"You did it!" She smiled at her triumph and then looked at her own line, wondering what she could do differently to achieve the same result. "Uhm...what did you do to catch it? Anything I should do?"

"Uh, Silas, clobber it." Mir shout, though he was ready to bounce in case Silas prove to be too slow. "Don't let it run away!" not that fish could actually run, the farghul knew. Sometimes the language made little sense. "Good job..." he glanced to the other person holding the rod. "...you." there was a strange little sigh that was almost like a purr.

"Okay!" Silas jumped to it, snacking the fish in the head with the butt of his knife. The blow wasnt quite as hard as Mir's but it seemed to do the job, and soon enough he had the beast in his hands.

"Great job, Di!" Silas said before turning to Esla. "Maybe try reeling in a bit slower? Fish are dumb, but they like things that move."

"Okay!" Esla nodded and redoubled her efforts with determination, as much she could with bobbing her lure into the water up and down. She knit her brows together and looked at her line, wondering if perhaps this was something that took using the Force to achieve.

She did offer a glance between Mir and Zanja. There was a part of her that wanted to say "Great work together!" or "Team work!" or "Maybe you guys make an okay pair!" but probably that was best reserved if they didn't have some sort of animosity together.

"Yus.. good clobbering." Mir nodded to Silas even as he let go of the rod. "You think you can clean it? Cut of the head and get the insides out? Our would you like to do it? It was your catch after all?" he asked Zanja, almost blinking his eyes. "The head and liver are yours at least." Mir bobbed his head as if what he said was obvious.

"Ah, Esla, you might want to tug your rod left and right. Make the bait look like a fishy for the fishy."

"I'll do it." Zanja nodded, eyeing the fish with some relish. "Here, one of you take this thing." She stuck out the rod toward Mir. and reached for her slippery prize

"C'n I borrow one of those knives? Mine's all the way over with the packs." Even Zanja didn't carry weapons with her bathing suit, after all.

Mir grabbed the rod happily and moved to stand by Elsa, tossing his bait into the gently foaming waters. "See, like this." he wiggled his rod in his hands, causing the bait to dance on the surface. "Just do this and be patient."

"Sure, Di." Silas replied, handing the knife and fish to the Zabrak. "You can use mine, and I can watch you, see how it's done."

Everything would be ok as long as she didnt eat the fish head.

Elsa watched Mir show her the ropes, or rather the fishing line, of luring fish in by enticing them with a bit of movement to sell it.

She seemed rather content doing just that, focusing on the lesson than catching a fish until she felt some resistance that tugged back. "Mmm..." She raised her brow curiously at this, wondering if she did something wrong. Did it catch on some rocks? It perhaps didn't dawn to her until the line started moved away in the water and she quickly put some force to keep it in place. "Oh! I think I got something? ...I think it's working!"

"Give it a tug!" Silas exclaimed, looking up from his work with Di. "You can't let him get away!" Not that he was too worried, Esla was a smart girl , and Mir was there. He was pretty sure she'd manage.

Esla could only spare a glance back at Silas but she didn't catch entirely what he had said she returned to making sure that her catching didn't get away from her. At the very least, it seemed that they had a meeting of the minds at least? She bit down on her lower lip and gave it another tug as she fought with the creature that was underwater.

It wasn't a long struggle thankfully and she managed to pluck out a tan-coloured flatfish. It wasn't as large as the other fishes, seeing as she managed to do it on her own but it was something! "Oh!"
