Six wide-eyed younglings, varying in age, looked in awe at the Galactic Market lighting up before them. The lights advertised all sorts of shops and businesses, ranging from clothing, weapons, electrical doo-dads and gadgets, diners, fruit markets, watering holes, and jewelry. Truly anything in the Republic could be found here, legally, at a price.

"Look at the mannequin there!"
"Ooo is that rubies? Diamonds? Or something else?"
"Mmm... I'm hungry. It smells good..."

[Zizzy Roosh]

Even with her heightened perceptions Zizzy had to focus to keep her attention on all of the younglings. They weren't much older than she had been when Master Din came to Mikkia. Oh no, is this how he sees me?

Shaking her head to remove the image sent her tendrils into a chaotic dance. "Um, now then. You can look but don't touch!" Yes, that sounded sensible. Whatever you do Zizzy, don't lose any younglings.

"Yeah, listen to Meli." Silas agreed as he did his own peeking at the various objects in the area. That dress had a reall nice shade. Would Cap look good in orange? Not that he should wear a dress, but the color might be good.

"If your good, maybe I'll buy you a snack." Was it okay to use bribery on younglings?

[Zizzy Roosh]

"Me or them?" She winked at Silas before wagging a finger at one of the younglings who was about to completely ignore her advice.

"Listen, if it looks like rubies or diamonds then it's nothing an aspiring Jedi needs to be concerned with... *Sigh* Nor does it need a grubby fingerprint on it."

[Zanja]

"On the other hand, if it's real gemstone a fingerprint won't hurt it," Zanja puts in with a gravelly laugh. "Uh, not that we're going to test. Not our job, right?"

[Byron Mik]

Byron had one of the smaller younglings on his shoulders as they walked, barely noticing the weight. He pointed at a stand and said, “Now that is where you can get some good noodles and over there well I actually have no idea but it smells really good.”

“Hey now stick together, don’t want some evil nasty Sith to come snatch you up and make you her dinner. Sith eat Jedi, I have it on very firm authority. Youngling stew is their favorite meal, ask anyone.”

[Zizzy Roosh]

"Well, I suppose Silas might want it for one of his creations?" She looked over at him with a raised eyebrow and then gave Zanja a wink. Returning her attention to the closest youngling she swiftly prevented a "you broke it, you bought it" scenario.

One of the younglings stood with mouth agape at the idea of youngling stew.

"Psst, kid. He's joking." She looked up at Byron. "Always thinking with your stomach huh?"

[Byron Mik]

“Well it is nearly time for second breakfast,” he replied.

He paused to look at a booth of shiny things and doodads like hydro-spoons, hydro-spanners, and hydro-pens.

"Me or them?" She winked at Silas before wagging a finger at one of the younglings who was about to completely ignore her advice."

"Both! If you can manage to be good that is."

He dipped in to peer at one of the jewels. "It might be good for jewelry or something." Silas offered after a moment. "A necklace or bracelet of some kind. It's too small to be the center piece of a breastplate or something though."

"Maybe a circlet?" He turned towards Byron. "What do you think of orange, Cap?"

[Faily]

Reg, the oldest of the younglings. "Oooh, what kind of snack?" the human boy asked Silas with great interest. He wasn't going to misbehave, but he wouldn't turn down a chance to try something new to eat. Especially since there were great smells all over the market.

"Meli? I thought your name was Zizzy?" a confused Togruta girl, named Riko, around 8 years old, looked positively confused at the nickname.

The youngest one, a green twi'lek girl named Lyssa, sat comfortable on Byron's shoulder. "But... there are no Sith here on Coruscant, right?" her lekku twitched nervously.

"Oh, but can't we test it, Zanja, please? I've never held a gemstone before!" the Sullustan boy named Vizzo tugged a little on Zanja's sleeve.

The other two (a human boy named Bor and a Duros boy who didn't really talk but his name was supposedly Halo) looked rather overwhelmed by it all, though also agape at the joke of Sith eating them.

[Zizzy Roosh]

Zizzy put on her best almost-a-padawan voice. "Well now little Riko. Your thoughts are right, my name is Zizzy. But Silas over there likes to make up nicknames for everyone and I have no idea where he gets them from." She put her hands on her hips and gave an exaggerated sigh.

[Byron Mik]

“Orange is good, like a brilliant star in the daylight,” he said honestly, “though most are actually white in color around habitable planets but yeah.. orange, haha, I like that.”

He added to Lyssa, “Well I have not seen a Sith here on Coruscant but this is a big place… so who knows what prowls in the dark places. But as long as you stay near us, we will protect you, even from scary Sith. No one is becoming youngling stew on my watch.”

"The best kind of snacks." Salis offered as if this was a matter of fact. "Doughnuts!" Course Cap would likely say Noodles were the best snack, but noodles didn't come with sprinkles.

Zizzy put on her best almost-a-padawan voice. "Well now little Riko. Your thoughts are right, my name is Zizzy. But Silas over there likes to make up nicknames for everyone and I have no idea where he gets them from." She put her hands on her hips and gave an exaggerated sigh.

"Where I get them from is a secret." He offered with a serious nod. "Did you want one Riko?"

[Zanja]

"Uhh. Probably not here, okay?" Zanja glanced over in the direction of the shopkeeper, attempting to evaluate whether they looked like a person inclined to indulge cute little children or not. It was actually pretty remarkable how much you could get away with when you were short and bouncy with a big smile. Those were the days. That bar was still fairly high when it came to handling expensive consumer goods, though.

"Master Silesh has some precious stones you can look at in the geology lab later. With a microscope and stuff." Zanja tugged at the collar of her outer robe to keep it from slipping off her shoulder as Zizzo pulled on her sleeve. "Uh, so, where are we going today, anyway?"

"Yay!" Lyssa was easily put at ease, and petted Byron's locs as if they were his 'lekku'. Oddly looking lekku, but lekku nonetheless.

The workers didn't really seem keen on picking up fancy jewelry for the kids to look at. But Vizzo at least seemed a little comforted by the idea of looking at a geology-collection. "Wherever you're taking us? The teachers usually take us around Coruscant to see things. I know someone got to see that big Senate thingy once."

"Doughnuts!" Reg echoed with enthusiasm! He knew what they were, having seen them on the holos, but never had one before!

Riko looked at Silas with a dead-serious expression. "... Is that allowed?"

"Yes, Dougnuts! You can even get the ones with sprinkles!" Silas continued magnanimously. "We can pick some up on our way to..." He looked towards Byron, Cap would know a good place, right?

"Sure it's allowed, though I can only think of one nickname a day. It's hard work after all."

[Byron Mik]

“I know just the place, Miky Macks’ Doughnutt Shack, get the green creme filled delights just don’t ask what is in them,” he replied.

“The Garbage Bag special.”

[Zanja]

"Sounds nice to me," Zanja cast her vote. It had already been quite a while since breakfast, after all. "Sit by one of the fountains to eat them... yeah, lead the way, Byron."

[Byron Mik]

The decision was made and the older student nodded and led the way saying, “There are rules for Miky Maks Doughnut Shack, these are not written down, but they are sacred. One never buy anything off the racks, those are the old doughnuts he tries tio pawn off on the unknowing. Second, always ask for the garbage Bag special, it’s a random assortment of fresh doughnuts but he always slips in the Green Delights, the specialty. Third, no chit-chat, you get in line you order and you leave, if you take too long he will kick you out and ban you from the store.”

“Simple rules, got it? Best if I do the ordering, a Garbage Special will run us about five credits, but should be more than enough for all of us.”

The children all listened with great interest to the rules. There was even a few "ooh" and "aah" at it.

"But if they don't write the rules, how do you know them?" asked Lyssa.
