This was why Eir wasn't very good with the Jedi Code as it currently stood. Emotion was everywhere, to deny its existence was like to deny breathing. Not letting it control you was what mattered, and if O'vala had reason to curse the Mandalorians, then she had Eir's empathy. Still, she preferred Byron Lectures Everyone over the persnickety version he'd been on Ilum.

The librarian's breathing eased as the kolto started to work, and it looked like she would be alright. For now.
As they got their bearings they could hear some of the fighting drawing closer. The familiar snap-hiss and the sound of clashing lightsabers... followed by the sound of bodies slumping to the floor.
"I can sense there are more of them this way, master," they could hear an Imperial voice say and the sound of footsteps were approaching.
The Sith are coming for them.

Maybe to the relief of some, it was not Destrus that stepped into view. The first was a black robed male figure wearing a mask without any eerie purple light spilling out of it, wielding a single red lightsaber... and following behind him was a female Sith in a provocatively-designed violet robe, nonchalantly holding her double-bladed lightsaber close to herself.

"Jedi..." the apprentice hissed, settling into the stance of Shien.

"More lambs for the slaughter," the master purred, her lightsaber making a few spins as she assumed an Ataru-stance.
